Gareth Edwards made a remarkable debut back in 2010 with Monsters, and ever since he was announced as the director for the upcoming Godzilla reboot, I’ve been immensely excited about his return behind the camera.
Legendary are heading out to Comic-Con this weekend, and the blockbuster will no doubt be a very prominent part of their presentation in Hall H this Saturday. And after catching two brilliant Mondo posters for the film earlier in the week, the studio have now released another awesome teaser poster, giving us another glimpse of the beast, and showing how tiny the helicopters are in comparison.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, and Bryan Cranston lead an excellent cast, starring alongside Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, and David Strathairn.
Edwards is at the helm for his sophomore feature, directing from a script penned by Max Borenstein, Dave Callaham, and Frank Darabont.
Godzilla is set to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on May 16th, 2014. Here’s to hoping that any footage that gets shown out in San Diego will debut online before long, because we can’t wait to see the first footage to match these great early posters.
