Game of Thrones Season 3 is just a few weeks away from airing, bringing George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Fire and Ice novels back to the small screen once more. The show continues to be a fan-favourite, and a hugely successful series for HBO, which has been bringing us some of the finest programmes in television in recent years.
We saw a new extended trailer for the third season earlier, and with Game of Thrones’ launch date just weeks away, we’ve got a new set of twelve character posters to share.
Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Michelle Fairley, Natalie Dormer, Jack Gleeson, Kit Harrington, and Lena Headey are all reprising their roles from past episodes.
And coming on board for the new season will be Iwan Rheon, Ciarán Hinds, Noah Taylor, Kerry Ingram, Charlotte Hope, Clive Russell, Mackenzie Crook, Paul Kaye, Nathalie Emmanuel, and many more.
Co-creators and long-time series writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will be making their television directorial debuts this season, taking the helm for the third episode in the ten-episode season. And I have a feeling fans are going to be looking forward to seeing them take on the job of directing their own show.
Game of Thrones Season 3 will be returning to HBO on 31st March in the US, with its UK premiere date set for 1st April on Sky Atlantic.
