Twentieth Century Fox have announced a slew of release dates for their upcoming movies tonight, and perhaps the biggest reveal involves the fact that X-Men spinoff Gambit (which stars Channing Tatum in the title role) will reach us on October 7th, 2016, an already incredibly busy year for comic book adaptations.

Also reaching us that year are Deadpool, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Captain America: Civil War, X-Men: Apocalypse, Suicide Squad, Doctor Strange, and Sinister Six (though that seems unlikely at this stage).

Video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed – which stars Michael Fassbender and had a release date before being take off Fox’s schedule last year – has now finally been officially set for December 21st, 2016.

As for the following year, Matt Reeves’ untitled sequel to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will reach us a little later than originally scheduled as it takes The Fantastic Four 2’s slot of July 14th, 2017. The sequel to Josh Trank’s reboot (which we’ve seen nothing from as of yet) has been moved forward to June 2nd, 2017.

In other release date news, Hugh Jackman’s P.T. Barnum movie The Greatest Showman on Earth comes our way on Christmas Day, 2016, with comedy Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates coming a little sooner on July 29, 2016. Finally, romantic drama The Mountain Between Us has been scheduled for February 10th, 2017.
