A new set of artistic character posters have been released for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, featuring the iconic foursome and the deadly villain Shredder.
The movie has so far split opinions with fans of the original big screen adaptations and various animated series’, but the recent trailer (which you can see by clicking here) has restored at least some faith in this particular take. Whether they’re still teenagers has recently come into question thanks to some leaked toy packages though, so many still aren’t 100% sure!
Either way, with Michael bay producing and Jonathan Liebesman in the directors chair, we can at least be guaranteed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be one of the most action-packed movies of 2014.
Directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) and produced by Michael Bay (Transformers), the movie uses motion capture to bring Raphael (Alan Ritchson), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher), Donatello (Jeremy Howard) and Leonardo (Pete Ploszek/Johnny Knoxville) to life, while Megan Fox will play April O’Neil and William Fichtner will star as the villainous Shredder.
The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
Starring Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Johnny Knoxville, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, Tony Shalhoub, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, and Whoopi Goldberg, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be released on August 8th, 2014.
