A new trailer has dropped for Fist Fight, the high school comedy in which two teachers fall out and arrange a fight to settle the score. It’s 3 o’clock High for the 21st Century from Richie Keen, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia director who is making his feature debut with this one.

Ice Cube and Charlie Day are our two warring faculty members, and though the new trailer continues to paint the film in fairly broad strokes we’re hoping there’s a little warmth in there as well.  Christina Hendricks leads a supporting cast with Jillian Bell, Dean Norris, Dennis Haysbert and JoAnna Garcia Swisher all lining up to watch the two teachers battle it out.

What we’re really happy to see is Tracy Morgan back on the big screen following his horrific accident in 2014. The 30 Rock star has also taken roles in David O. Russell’s Accidental Love and the Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Seth Rogen festive comedy The Night Before, and it’s a pleasure to see his recovery.

The new trailer does give a lot of the beats away, but the stock slapstick set up will benefit most if the chemistry between the two leads is as much fun as it looks.

Here’s the new trailer for the classroom rumble comedy, which contains sexual swear words.

Fist Fight is out in cinemas on the 3rd of March, 2017.

Fist Fight Movie Synopsis

On the last day of the year, mild-mannered high school English teacher, Andy Campbell (Day), is trying his best to keep it together amidst senior pranks, a dysfunctional administration and budget cuts that put jobs on the line.  But things go from bad to worse when he accidentally crosses his much tougher and deeply feared colleague, Ron Strickland (Ice Cube), who challenges Campbell to an old-fashioned throw down after school.  News of the fight spreads like wildfire and ends up becoming the very thing this school, and Campbell, needed.
