The first teaser for Thunderbirds Are Go! has been released, and while it’s light on footage from the ITV and Pukeko Pictures series, it points fans towards Thunderbirds.com, where more should be revealed soon.
The 2015 series will use practical miniaturised sets just like the original Thunderbirds, but the characters will all be brought to life via special effects which in part will be supplied by New Zealand’s Weta Workshop.
Those providing voices to the series include Rosamund Pike (Lady Penelope), David Graham (who returns as Parker), Kayvan Novak (Brains), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Gordon and John Tracy), Rasmus Hardiker (Alan and Scott Tracy), David Menkin (Virgil), Sandra Dickinson (Grandma Tracy), and Andres Williams (The Hood).
New characters for Thunderbirds Are Go! include the Tracy brothers?’ fellow island resident Kayo (Angel Coulby) and Colonel Casey (Adjoa Andoh). It’s an impressive cast which should be a big draw for viewers.
Thunderbirds Are Go! is being written by Rob Hoegee, and David Scott and Theo Baynton are set to direct.
