It was yesterday that we got our first look at Spider-Man: Homecoming, and with the trailer set to be released online much later tonight, the first official image is finally here! As you can see, it features Tom Holland’s Peter Parker standing tall while fully suited up as the wall-crawler. It’s a great shot, and one which should instantly remind fans of the comic books.

However, expect to see that iconic costume sporting some additional features. According to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, the suit “can do a lot more than he even realizes right now,” and that, “you begin to see just how much Tony Stark loves bells and whistles.”

As for Spider-Man: Homecoming’s villain, The Vulture, Holland teased: “The first time we see the Vulture is terrifying. It’s like a horror movie: really scary, very intense and shocking.”

Director Jon Watts meanwhile adds that he’ll be a lot different to the likes of Thanos and Ultron in terms of who he is. “It’s fun to think that if Spider-Man is a regular kid who becomes a superhero, there’s got to be a bunch of regular guys who become supervillains.”

Starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and almost countless others, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming is directed by Jon Watts and will be released on July 7th, next year.
