After revealing the proton packs and car which will be featured in Ghostbusters, Bridesmaids helmer Paul Feig has taken to Twitter to reveal a first look at the new all-female team assembled and ready for action.
Pictured below are main cast members Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, and Leslie Jones.
Set photos have started doing the rounds featuring the Ghostbusters cast in costume, so this official image is long overdue. The new team looks great, but it’s unlikely to win around hose not sold on the concept.
An unofficial plot synopsis for Ghostbusters claims that Wiig and McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Wiig then reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.
This new Ghostbusters movie is set to be released on July 22nd, 2016, so stay tuned to HeyUGuys for details on this movie and more, especially with the San Diego Comic-Con getting into full swing this weekend.
