We caught a glimpse of The Vision in those Comic-Con concept art posters, but now a piece of promo art gives us our first proper look at the character who will be played by Paul Bettany in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Bettany has voiced Tony Stark’s robotic butler J.A.R.V.I.S. in each of the previous Iron Man movies, as well as 2012’s Avengers Assemble, but it’s believed that this sequel will see the villainous Ultron (James Spader) give him a body in a bid to show his creator that he too is capable of creating “life”.

It’s clear from the image above that The Vision will be fighting alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the movie, and the team continues to grow as we’ll also see the likes of Captain America and Thor joined by new recruits the Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson).

It appears as if they’ve found the perfect look for the character, with some clear similarities to his comic book counterpart and a few modern updates so that he fits in nicely alongside the rest of The Avengers on the big screen next year. It’s going to be very interesting to see what Bettany brings to the role.

This isn’t the first time a leak like this has happened as we got a first look at the Avengers assembled and Captain America’s Winter Soldier costume long before release thanks to promo art!
