Steve Coogan in The Look of LoveMichael Winterbottom (24 Hour Party People) has reunited with the great Steve Coogan once more, to bring us what will undoubtedly be one of the funniest films of next year, and one of the best coming out of the UK, The Look of Love.

Previously titled King of Soho, the first look at Coogan in the lead has debuted over at Empire, along with a new poster, teasing an absolutely terrific moustache on Coogan’s part.

“A comedy-drama about the colourful business and personal life of renowned club proprietor and porn publisher Paul Raymond.”

Starring alongside him in the lead will be an impressive cast, headed up by Anna Friel, Imogen Poots, Stephen Fry, Chris Addison, Tamsin Egerton, and Matt Lucas and David Walliams.

Winterbottom is directing from a script by two-time BAFTA-nominated Matt Greenhalgh (Control, Nowhere Boy), with the director partnering once more with frequent collaborator, Melissa Parmenter (9 Songs, The Trip), who serves as producer alongside executive producer Jenny Borgars (Attack the Block, The Awakening).

The Look of Love is set for release in the UK on 8th March, and should be an excellent way to kick off the spring. No word yet on a US release, but here’s to hoping it will be heading across the Atlantic for a similar date. For now, here are the great first images, along with the new poster, which you can click to enlarge.
