David Ayer has had a brilliant year, with his latest feature, End of Watch, getting glowing reviews on the festival circuit, and opening strong at the box office last month in the US.

He’s already back behind the camera with Ten (previously titled Breacher, and now back to its original title, Ten), and leading man Arnold Schwarzenegger has tweeted our first look at him in the film.

“I’m having a great time working with @DavidAyerMovies on my new movie, Ten. Check out my look: http://twitpic.com/b7c9jc

The film revolves around,

“an elite DEA task force that robs a dangerous drug cartel under the guise of a tactical raid on one of its safe houses. They think they’ve gotten away with millions in merch, until team members begin getting bumped off one by one.”

The ever-brilliant Malin Åkerman and Sam Worthington star alongside the action hero, with Joe Manganiello, Terrence Howard, Josh Holloway, Mireille Enos, and Olivia Williams completing the cast nicely.

Ayer is directing from a script by Skip Woods (Hitman, A Good Day to Die Hard), the latter of whom is also producing alongside Joe Roth (Snow White and the Huntsman), Palak Patel (Oz: The Great and Powerful), and Paul Hanson and Bill Block (District 9).

No word yet on when we can expect the action-thriller to hit the big screen, but with such a well-known action hero in the lead, a great cast supporting, and a talented director behind the camera, we’re looking forward to seeing how it turns out. For now, here’s the first look at Arnie in the film, which you can click to enlarge.
