Even all these years later, it’s still hard to believe that Alice in Wonderland grossed over $1 billion back in 2010. The fact that it made such a huge sum is why we’re getting a (arguably unnecessary) sequel from Disney next year titled Alice Through the Looking the Glass, and now the first footage from the movie has been released in a very brief trailer teaser.

The fact that we’ve now had a first look at Alice Through the Looking the Glass hopefully means some sort of Captain America: Civil War preview is on the way, especially as the Marvel movie is released weeks before this sequel (worryingly, rumours point to the first trailer not hitting until Star Wars: The Force Awakens). When we’ll get a full-length preview for this release is unclear, though it’s likely one will follow at some point later this month!

Alice Through the Looking the Glass will feature the return of Mia Wasikowska as Alice, and she can be seen here coming out a door in the sky and plummeting from the heavens in a CGI landscape very reminiscent of the kind of visuals that the first instalment delivered.

Tim Burton won’t be directing this time as The Muppets helmer James Bobin is set to take over. Set to be released on May 27th, 2016, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, and Helena Bonham Carter will all also reprise their roles from the first Alice in Wonderland movie.
