Fire-with-Fire-PosterAfter topping the box office last weekend in A Good Day to Die Hard, Bruce Willis will be back on our screens in a few weeks’ time in Fire with Fire, this time in a supporting capacity.

Josh Duhamel is front and centre here as our action hero, with veteran TV director David Barrett making his feature debut behind the camera.

The film has also seen its release in the US last summer, and will be arriving on our screens in early March. And with just weeks to go, Warner Bros. have released the UK trailer for our shores.

“Jeremy Coleman (Josh Duhamel) is a local fireman who has his life turned upside down when he witnesses a brutal murder by David Hagan (Vincent D’Onofrio) in a gas station. Put into witness protection, he falls in love with his FBI escort Talia Durham (Rosario Dawson), things however take a turn for the worse when Talia is almost killed protecting him. Vowing to avenge the attack, Jeremy begins to hunt down his attacker and end his reign of terror once and for all.”

Duhamel and Willis are joined by a great cast, headed up by Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Julian McMahon, Curtis (50 Cent) Jackson, and Vinnie Jones.

Barrett, whose credits on the small screen include the likes of Castle, Once Upon a Time, The Mentalist, V, CSI, and The O.C., is directing from a script by Tom O’Connor, who makes his debut as a writer.

Duhamel has been gaining recognition as a leading man, and proved at the weekend that he could go toe-to-toe with Willis, with the Nicholas Sparks adaptation, Safe Haven, doing very well at the box office. It’s really nice to see him getting more central roles, after making a name for himself through the first Transformers trilogy.

Fire with Fire has an 8th March release date set for the UK. The film is already available on DVD, Blu-ray, and through VOD in the US, so if you’re reading this Stateside, you don’t have to wait at all to see Duhamel in action.
