Back in January, we reported on Katherine Heigl’s trip down the psychotic women road in the upcoming Unforgettable alongside Rosario Dawson and we can now share with you the final trailer for the thriller before its April 21st release.
The release of this film hasn’t exactly been shouted from the rooftops and we have a couple of ideas why. It probably isn’t very good, but mostly because there could very well be yet another backlash from hardcore feminists and women’s groups for the depiction of a woman going all fatal attraction bonkers on her ex-husband’s new lady friend. It’s a storyline which has seen Rosamund Pike in Gone Girl fake her own death in order to get her own back on her cheating husband and Ali Larter in Obsessed drugging Idris Elba in order to rape him.
However, men have had a few movies dedicated to their own unhinged personalities. Mark Wahlberg became so obsessed with Reece Witherspoon in Fear he went so far as to beheading the family dog and breaking her best friend’s neck. We could even look at Ryan Guzman in The Boy Next Door. Yes, he may have slept with Jennifer Lopez but does that give him the right to wallpaper her classrooms in photos of them getting dirty?
Joining Heigl in the cast is Rosario Dawson (the Sin City films) as her ex-husband’s new partner who is in for one hell of a bumpy ride. Also on the cast is Geoff Stults (TV’s Zoo), young actress Isabella Rice (True Blood), Simon Kassianides (TV’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Whitney Cummings (The Wedding Ringer), Robert Wisdom (TV’s Chicago PD) and film and television star Cheryl Ladd.
