There was a time when the Fast and Furious franchise was considered something of a joke. Despite having their fair share of fans, the movies had seemingly developed a reputation for being bad, but ever since Fast Five shook things up, it’s become one of the most popular series of films out there. After the seventh instalment grossed over $1 billion, the sky really is the limit for the next chapter, a movie we now know is titled The Fate of the Furious.

Well, that’s the US title anyway. For now, it appears as if the UK will be sticking with Fast & Furious 8. Regardless, the first trailer for the movie is set to be released later tonight, but for now, we have a teaser poster which hints at a big divide between Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs. The decision to focus on these two is very interesting!

Why? Well, rumour has it that the two had some serious issues on the set of the movie, but perhaps that was all just a marketing stunt to help increase interest in Fast and Furious 8!

If you’re not a fan of these movies, chances are Furious 8 won’t change your mind, but it looks like more over the top action is in store and the full trailer will be here on Sunday!

Fast and Furious 8 is being directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton). James Wan helmed the previous instalment, but was busy with The Conjuring 2 and has Aquaman lined up next. Justin Lin didn’t return for this one because he was working on Star Trek Beyond.
