Fast-and-Furious-6-PosterHitting in just over two months, Justin Lin’s Fast and Furious 6 is by far one of my most anticipated movies of the year.

The sequel continues on from the brilliant success of Fast Five, and we can’t wait to see how Lin takes the franchise further this May.

Universal did a brilliant job of launching the film with its Super Bowl TV spot. And since then, we’ve seen plenty more to suggest it’s going to be one awesome ride, with the full-length trailer following shortly after its Super Bowl debut.

With its release date fast approaching, the studio have debuted a new TV spot, giving us another thirty-second look at the adrenaline-fuelled blockbuster coming our way soon.

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin’s empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker take the lead of a brilliant cast once more. And they’re joined by Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Dwayne Johnson, Luke Evans, Joe Taslim, Tyrese Gibson, Gina Carano, Gal Gadot, Elsa Pataky, and Sung Kang.

Lin is behind the camera once more for Fast and Furious 6, having helmed the third, fourth, and fifth instalments. And he’s directing from a script penned by Chris Morgan, who’s written all the films in the series that Lin has directed.

Fast and Furious 6 will be released on 24th May in the UK and US. That’s a release date that really can’t come fast enough for me. For now, here’s the latest TV spot to help make the wait a little bit easier. Enjoy.
