Put John Lithgow and Alfred Molina in a film and the sensible thing to do is to sit down and enjoy, and that’s exactly what you can do soon when Love is Strange is released.

Writer/Director Ira Sachs recently did a fine AMA over on Reddit, which you can find here, and he commented on the film industry and their struggle with Sachs’ film.

In truth, it’s hard for any artist to survive, or at least most, and as a gay artist, almost everything economically is set up to discourage work in which gay lives and stories are told.

Hollywood, for example, didn’t put a dollar into this film, even though it had well known stars. That’s why I created Queer/Art organization, to create a ballast against that force that encourages GLBT people to tell their stories.

February the 13th 2015 is the very appropriate release for this film, and we have the first UK poster for the film below. We loved the film when we saw it in Berlin earlier this year, our review is here.
