Jeff Nichols’ Take Shelter blew successfully through the London Film Festival last year and that’s due in no small part to Michael Shannon’s towering performance as a quiet family man haunted by visions of severe oncoming storms and vivid dreams which may be related to a mental disorder common in his family.
