It’s a film that’s already been hailed as one of the best of the year, and boasts not just one great Tom Hardy performance but two of them.
We spoke with Brian Helgeland, the director of Legend about his latest film, which brings the charismatic but violent story of the notorious Kray brothers to the big screen.
We spoke about persuading Tom Hardy to take on the roles of both Ronnie and Reggie Kray, the special effects in the movie and romanticised versions of the story.
Interestingly, Brian also put to bed rumours that there was ever a version of his Robin Hood that would have featured Russell Crowe in dual roles playing both the titular hero and as well as the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Finally, we found out why Legend may just be the perfect audition for Tom Hardy to land the coveted 007 role.
