Denzel Washington in FlightDirector Robert Zemeckis may have spent a lot of his recent years in front of a computer rather than behind a camera but with his latest film, Flight, he is returning to live action cinema with an impact.

Denzel Washington leads the film as the epically named Whip Whittaker, an airline pilot who saves a plan from crashing but whose journey is far from over. Sabotage of the personal and industrial kind are suddenly in play and the truth behind why the plane nearly crashed is our focus here.

In this neat little featurette Zemeckis talks about his reasons for getting behind the film and there are contributions from John Gooodman and other actors as well as John Gatins, the writer, talking about why Zemeckis is the perfect director for the film.

It’s a little on the sycophantic side but there is some excellent footage from the film itself interspersed so if you’re still on the fence about this one take a look and be pushed off.
