The-Impossible-UK-Quad-PosterYesterday marked the 8th anniversary of the a massive Tsunami hit the Indian Ocean destroying everything in it’s path and tragically killing nearly 300 000 people. Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and the Maldives were all hit in what to this day is the sixth deadliest natural disaster in recorded history. The earthquake which caused the tsunami was the 3rd largest in recorded history measuring a magnitude of 9.1–9.3.

There are so many incredible stories that came out of the tsunami and new movie The Impossible aims to deal with just one of them. The Impossible focuses on one familie’s true story of survival through some of the most unlikely of circumstances. If you missed our review from Toronto, you can read it here. The movie stars Ewan McGregor, Naomi Watts and Tom Holland who all put in wonderful performances, the same being said said about the two other young boys who play the two youngest sons to Ewan and Naomi’s characters and are played by Samuel Joslin and Oaklee Pendergast.

In this new clip from the movie, we get to see Ewan’s character Henry talking to his middle son Thomas (Joslin) about why he’s got to split them up to go looking for his wife (Watts) and eldest son Lucas (Holland) and how he needs to be strong to look after his younger brother (Pendergast)

The Impossible is released 1st January and I implore you to take tissues with you as this one is a series tearjerker but is a truly amazing movie! Check out the clip below or see the trailer here.
