Ender's-Game-Final-PosterSummit have arguably the biggest potential franchise-starter on their hands this year with Ender’s Game.

Orson Scott Card first started writing the award-winning, best-selling series back in the 1980s, and they’ve been going strong ever since.

With the adaptation’s autumn/fall release date getting closer on the horizon, the studio are set to release the first full-length trailer tomorrow, following the teaser trailer that surfaced earlier in the year. And to whet our appetites for the full-length look, they’ve launched a new trailer preview to go with the recent final poster.

In the near future, a hostile alien race (called the Formics) have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander, Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young children to find the future Mazer. Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy, but strategically brilliant boy is pulled out of his school to join the elite.

Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult war games, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham, himself, to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Asa Butterfield takes centre stage here as the eponymous Ender, starring alongside Hailee Steinfeld, Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, Aramis Knight, Moises Arias, Jimmy Pinchak, Brandon Soo Hoo, Nonso Anozie, and Viola Davis.

Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) is at the helm, directing from his own script, adapting Card’s original novel.

Ender’s Game will be released on 25th October here in the UK, following very soon after in the US on November 1st. Here’s the new trailer preview ahead of tomorrow’s launch. Enjoy.
