Marvel Studios has released the first poster for Doctor Strange, and it features Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme clearly ready for action as the the first new hero (well, after Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War) to be introduced in Phase 3.

Of course, this movie marks Doctor Strange’s big screen debut, and like Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man before it, it will be fun to see if the Marvel brand is strong enough to carry this character to the same levels of box office and critical success those found.

Regardless, the first trailer for Doctor Strange is set to be released much later tonight after it premieres on the Jimmy Kimmel Show in the states. If you’re a night owl, be sure to keep your eyes glued to HeyUGuys as we’ll have it here the second it finds its way online.

Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

Set for release on November 4th the cast also includes Rachel McAdams, Michael Stuhlbarg, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton. It’s an impressive group, and while this has been called yet another “risky” movie for Marvel, Doctor Strange has all the makings of a hit.

UPDATE: After premiering on Jimmy Kimmel Live, here’s the trailer and another poster:
