THR are reporting a wealth of casting news this morning for “The Reasonable Bunch”, a new comedy about warring relatives at a family wedding, which is due to start shooting this month in New York.

Along with Demi Moore (GI Jane, Charlies Angels: Full Throttle and more recently, The Joneses) and Kate Bosworth (Blue Crush, Superman Returns, 21), Thomas Haden Church (Sideways and Spider-man 3) has also signed on to appear in what will be the second directorial outing for Sam Levinson, son of accomplished director Barry Levinson (Good Morning Vietnam, Rain Man).

Martin Landau, Ellen Barkin and Ellen Burstyn round out the casting news so far. There is no news yet on specific roles for those cast, but it is not hard to see where the generational lines are likely to be drawn. As always, we’ll bring you more news as we hear it.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
