They may not share too much time together on screen, but it transpires that Danny McBride and Billy Crudup make quite the double act, as we sat down with the pair to discuss their roles in Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant.

McBride plays Tennessee and Crudup plays Captain Oram – and we asked them just how cool it was to be involved in this franchise, particularly as two big fans of the original series. We also asked how much of a back story they gave their respective characters, and the importance of emotional depth – as every passing death in this picture feels significant.

Alien CovenanWe went on to speak about their own enjoyment of the movie, and Sam Rockwell’s enjoyment of the movie. McBride spoke about how nice it was to alleviate himself of any comedic pressure in this rare dramatic outing for the actor, and Crudup discusses briefly his involvement in the DC universe – where he appears in forthcoming pictures as The Flash’s father.
