Exclusive: Daniel Radcliffe on playing an undercover Nazi and a farting corpse

When tied to such a renowned franchise, as Daniel Radcliffe had been with Potter, it can be difficult to distance yourself, and try new things as an actor. Though when Radcliffe let it all hang out on stage, it should’ve become clear then, that here’s a man with ambition, to try new things and progress in his craft. Given he was in London promoting his two latest films, Imperium and Swiss Army Man, where he plays an undercover Nazi and a farting corpse, respectively – it’s fair to say his role are somewhat diverse at present.

Before you get into the full interview – see below for the brief minute spent chatting to Daniel beforehand, where farting (obvs) was on the agenda.

We then went on to discuss his role in Imperium, and the joy in working with a first-time filmmaker in Daniel Ragussis, as well as the challenges in researching such a harrowing story. Then, moving on to Swiss Army, he tells us, truthfully, if any of those farts we hear his corpse release (consistently) within the film, belonged to him.

Imperium is released on September 23rd, and you can read our review here. Swiss Army Man is out the following week on September 30th, and that review can be found here.
