This evening the 36th London Critics Circle Awards took place at The May Fair Hotel. Leading up to the ceremony Todd Haynes’ Carol led the way, nominated for Film of the Year and nods for both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara. Kenneth Branagh also attended to receive the Dilys Powell Award for Excellence in Film. It was to prove a stellar year for British film.
