The first image of Cowboys and Aliens has been released and it shows Daniel Craig sporting cowboy hat, clothes and a lazer.
Jon Favreau also previewed about eight minutes of footage at Comic Con from the upcoming 2011 film that stars Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde and Sam Rockwell who were all also introduced on stage to raptuous reception especially as it was Harrison Ford’s first appearance at Comic Con as he was dragged on stage in handcuffs.
The film is based on the graphic novel created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg that is Set in the 1800’s, A battle between cowboys and Apaches is put to one side after the crash landing of a space ship. The aliens plan to enslave everyone so the cowboys and Native Americans join forces to defeat them.
Looks like a great concept and gives me fond reminders of the excellent Firefly series of the Western Genre mixed with Sci-Fi and with a great director and a very decent cast It’s no doubt going to be one of the bog films in 2011.
