Constantine was shown on Amazon Prime in the UK, but it didn’t fare particularly well there or on American network NBC. Lacking the same sort of promotional push given to Gotham and The Flash, ratings never took off and the series was cancelled after thirteen episodes.

However, in some amazing news, it has been confirmed today that Matt Ryan’s John Constantine will appear in the fifth episode of Arrow’s fourth season. Titled “Haunted”, it will introduce viewers to the weather worn exorcist and expert on the supernatural and the occult. He is a detective, magician, and a hunter of demons, and will provide critical support to Oliver (Stephen Amell) when arrows aren’t enough. That sounds pretty cool, eh?

It’s set to be a one off appearance for now, but who knows what it could lead to down the line. Constantine joining the ranks of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow would be no bad thing!

This wasn’t the only big news to come out of The CW’s Television Critics Association panel today as the first official image of Teddy Spears in full costume as Earth-2’s Jay Garrick, The Flash from an alternate universe who will be making his present felt in The Flash this year.

The image pays homage to The Flash #123, an issue which contained a story titled “The Flash of Two Worlds.” It was in that issue that the DC multiverse was first introduced.
