Shooting begins on Sam Mendes untitled follow-up to Skyfall – James Bond 24 – next month, and the cast is quickly being put together with Lea Seydoux (Blue is the Warmest Colour) and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) two of the biggest additions as a femme fatale and “iconic” henchman respectively.

Daniel Craig will obviously be back as 007 and is joined by fellow returning cast members Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes. However, it appears as if we now know who will be the movie’s villain!

According to The Daily Mail’s Baz Bamigboye (who has been very reliable with Bond 24 news so far), Christoph Waltz has joined the movie in the villainous role which Chiwetel Ejiofor had been in talks for.

Those discussions never came to anything though, and as Waltz is no stranger to playing villains, you have to imagine that he’ll fit right in here. The Academy Award winning actor has appeared in everything from Inglorious Basterds to Django Unchained and David Yates’ upcoming live-action Tarzan remake.

Seeing Craig and Waltz face off in James Bond 24 should be great, and while plot details are being kept under wraps, we should hear more soon as they begin filming for the movie’s October 23rd, 2015 release.
