It’s been a big weekend of exciting trailers and news coming directly from SDCC and especially on the comic book to movie front. The first bit of news Marvel took the opportunity on its panel to announce that Michelle Pfeiffer will be joining the MCU in the Ant-Man Sequel Ant-Man and The Wasp.

Pfeiffer will be joining the cast as Janet Van Dyne, the original Wasp in the comic book series. It won’t be the first time Pfeiffer has made an outing in a comic book to movie project. Back in 1992, Pfeiffer starred as Seline Kyle aka Catwoman in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns.

Also amongst the unveiling of Ant-Man and the Wasp news was a brand new poster which can be viewed below.

The second batch of news coming out of the Marvel camp is a very vague plot line for 2019’s Captain Marvel. With Brie Larson taking the lead as Captain Marvel, the newest character to join the MCU, she will be facing off against the Skrulls in the film, an alien race of shape-shifting green creatures during the 90’s with Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury appearing with both eyes visible, presumably before he got to don the eyepatch. We could just find out exactly what actually happened to his eye.

Also revealed was some glorious concept art which you can see in the tweet below.

Thirdly, in other news we have yet to cover, an incredible poster for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther made an appearance alongside footage shown at the convention. Unfortunate for those who didn’t have the privilege to attend that footage won’t be appearing online but you can get a glimpse of the poster below.
