Marvel have released the first TV spot for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and it features some great new snippets of footage from the highly anticipated sequel from Anthony and Joe Russo.
We see more of Captain America, more of The Winter Soldier, and some very intriguing shots of Nick Fury. Despite the fact that the movie is based on and named after Ed Brubaker and Steve Epting’s comic book arc, there’s still an awful lot we don’t know about the movie which will apparently set in motion critical events for Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers – aka Captain America – living quietly in Washington, DC, and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier.
Starring Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Frank Grillo, Felicity Jones, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Samuel L. Jackson, and Robert Redford, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D in the UK on 26th March and in the US on April 4th.
