One of the most highly-anticipated films at this year’s London Film Festival is John Crowley’s adaptation of Colm Tóibín’s Brooklyn.

Saoirse Ronan leads the cast as Eilis, who takes on the promise of America and travels to New York from her native Ireland after the Second World War. Changed utterly by the experience a tragedy pulls her back across the Atlantic to face a monumental decision about her future.

Ronan is joined by Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Jim Broadbent and the ever wonderful Julie Walters. The film is out on the 6th of November, when you’ll be in need of a warm heart.
