When you’ve got Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, and Richard Ayoade leading the cast, you know that The Watch is a comedy you don’t want to miss this summer.
All that we’ve seen so far from the film has been brilliant, and now the director, Akiva Schaffer (Hot Rod), has put together this excellent red-band outtake reel ahead of its release in the US tomorrow.
“Four everyday suburban guys come together to form a neighborhood watch group, but only as an excuse to escape their humdrum lives one night a week. But when they accidentally discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, they have no choice but to save their neighborhood–and the world–from total extermination.”
The script comes from the writing team of Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Jared Stern, and it pretty much doesn’t get better than that when it comes to comedy.
The Watch will be hitting US theatres from tomorrow, 27th July, before coming to the UK a little later on 24th August. It definitely looks like a must-see comedy of the year, and I can’t wait for it to reach our shores.
