The cast of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens is nothing short of amazing, and while we obviously don’t yet know how many of them will have a role in Star Wars: Episode VIII and Episode IX, the ensemble may be about to get a whole lot more impressive. According to a new report, Benicio del Toro is set to go from bickering with the Guardians of the Galaxy to being a villain in another Galaxy Far, Far Away.

The Wrap reports that the actor has been offered the role, and while it’s still early days, it’s hard not to get excited about the prospect of del Toro playing the villain in the Rian Johnson (Looper) helmed release.

It’s still not clear whether the actor is going to reprise the role of The Collector in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, but as both that and this Star Wars movie are set for a 2017 release, he may not be able to do both.

Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.
