We got a great look at Bobcat Goldthwaite’s pitch-black comedy, God Bless America, when the first hard-hitting trailer surfaced earlier this year.

The film has just been released in the US via Video on Demand, and so if you’re reading this across the Atlantic, it’s available for your viewing pleasure right now. In promotion of its VoD release, Yahoo Movies have released a clip featuring its two main characters, Frank (Joel Murray) and Roxy (Tara Lynne Barr), playing balloon Russian roulette.

“Loveless, jobless, possibly terminally ill, Frank has had enough of the downward spiral of America. With nothing left to lose, Frank takes his gun and offs the stupidest, cruelest, and most repellent members of society. He finds an unusual accomplice: 16-year-old Roxy, who shares his sense of rage and disenfranchisement.”

The film has been getting great reviews already, and if the first trailer was anything to go by, then it’s a must-see for sure.

Along with its VoD release, God Bless America will also be getting a limited theatrical release on 11th May in the US. No word yet on if/when it will be coming to the UK, but we can hope. For now, a ninety-second new clip from the film.
