Charlize Theron, From Fast and Furious 8 to Atomic Blonde is proving to be one scary badass woman and the new trailer for the latter film just strengthens her hold on the high-octane, violence fuelled playing field with jaw-dropping results.

For at least the first minute of the two minute, forty eight second trailer, Theron kicks and punches her way through a horde of men coming at her thick and fast before we even get a glimpse of a storyline. At this stage we are thinking she could give John Wick a good run for his money. When it suddenly calms down, lulling you into a false sense of security, we find out Lorraine Broughton (Theron) is actually a super skilled secret agent of some kind who is sent out into the field to stop any more of her fellow agents from meeting the grim reaper.

We are introduced to the skin headed James McAvoy who loses all sense of chivalry – which is actually quite funny – and Sofia Boutella who indulges in some rather erotic sexy time with Ms Theron too – That should keep the fellas happy.

Atomic Blonde - Charlize Theron and James McAvoy

Atomic Blonde is based on the Oni Press graphic novel “The Coldest City,” by Antony Johnston & illustrator Sam Hart.  The John Wick style of violence comes from the man behind the camera, director David Leitch, who will also be directing the upcoming Deadpool 2, and see’s John Goodman, Til Schweiger, Eddie Marsan and Toby Jones joining Theron, Boutella and McAvoy on the cast list.
