Will Ferrell is set to return to the character that truly launched his career to new heights this December with the release of Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
Ron Burgundy will be back, and hopefully better than ever, and with his return on the horizon, two new images have surfaced of him alongside a handful of familiar faces.
The official synopsis remains under wraps, which should leave plenty of surprises for when the film actually hits come Christmas.
Starring alongside Ferrell will of course be Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate. And they’re joined by a very impressive ensemble, including Kristen Wiig, Fred Willard, Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Chris Parnell, James Marsden, Meagan Good, Greg Kinnear, Harrison Ford, Josh Lawson, and many a cameo expected beyond that.
Adam McKay is at the helm once more, directing from a script he and Ferrell co-wrote. And to top things off, the two produce alongside Judd Apatow and Kevin Messick, making for a very promising comedy, all things considered.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is set to hit cinemas on December 20th in the UK and US, making for a perfect way to celebrate the holiday season come Christmas time.
