When we last saw Michael Fassbender’s David in Prometheus, he was without a body and accompanying Elizabeth Shaw to parts unknown. Now, a new behind the scenes set photo has been released which features the android seemingly made whole alongside what appears to be a new look space helmet. The image was also accompanied by, “Creator. Creation.”

Details for the movie’s other characters are a mystery (all we know are the names of a handful of them), but Alien: Covenant has already started shooting in Australia and is set to be released on October 6th, 2017. More info will no doubt be announced later this year.

A brief synopsis for the movie was also revealed last year: “Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”

With Noomi Rapace confirmed as not returning, Alien: Covenant clearly takes place quite a few years after the events of Prometheus, and it’s going to be very interesting to see how this movie connects to both that and the original Alien movie released back in 1979. In fact, a very interesting rumour about that has surfaced, and you can get the details right here.
