There is an understandable excitement for the new Alien film, coming in a few months from director Ridley Scott. Alien Covenant picks up the pieces left by the bittersweet soup of Prometheus, which gave us a little more information on the origins of the titular beast. There is a new crew, with a new mission, however we have a feeling that things will turn out pretty much the same.

In the lead this time is the wonderful Katherine Waterston (whose character was at the heart of a very spoilery rumour we’re hoping isn’t true). She is joined by another model of Michael Fassbender’s android. No Lawrence of Arabia blonde for Fassbender’s droid this time – this is Walter, another iteration of the Weyland-bot.

Waterston is joined on-board by James Franco, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir and Billy Crudup, Callie Hernandez, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz. Many of whom were seen recently in the five minute prologue, Last Supper, directed by Luke Scott. Check it out here, as it’s another fine piece of world building.

There’s a new poster out in the wild today, following on from the minimalist offering we had a while ago (also included below). and Holy UPDATES Batman – here’s the new
