Even all these years later, it’s still hard to believe that Alice in Wonderland grossed over $1 billion back in 2010. The fact that it made such a huge sum is why we’re getting a (arguably unnecessary) sequel from Disney next year titled Alice Through the Looking the Glass, but this new trailer actually points to this unexpected follow-up being a whole lot of fun!

Alice Through the Looking the Glass will feature the return of Mia Wasikowska as Alice, and she features heavily in this new look at the move. You’ll also no doubt recognise the voice of the late, great Alan Rickman. There are plenty of other familiar faces too, though we actually get our best look yet here at Sacha Baron Cohen as Time, and he fits right into this world.

Whether or not this sequel can possibly find the same success as the first instalment remains to be seen, but Disney are no doubt hoping that it will be a guaranteed hit for them.

Tim Burton won’t be directing this time as The Muppets helmer James Bobin is set to take over. Set to be released on May 27th, 2016, Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, and Helena Bonham Carter will all also reprise their roles from the first Alice in Wonderland movie.
