As we all know by now, beloved director Shane Black has taken on the task of rebooting the classic 1987 Predator in the role of director and co-writer. Filming started on Monday in Vancouver so it was only a matter of time before we heard the tiny footsteps of a new cast member announcement. We can now report that Game of Thrones actor, Alfie Allen has joined the cast in this epic revival which originally starred Arnold Schwarzenegger.

After bringing on board Room’s Jacob Tremblay and X-Men Apocalypse’s Olivia Munn we’ve had to wait far too long for any mention of new cast to the sci-fi thriller. Moonlight actor, Trevante Rhodes, plays another ex-Marine and Boyd Holbrook’s, who will be seen from next week in Logan, best friend.

Allen will play an ex-Marine. Olivia Munn is a scientist, and Brown is a government agent who first butt heads with Holbrook’s character, but later needs his help when the Predator comes around. Room‘s Jacob Tremblay will play Holbrook’s son, an autistic kid who has a talent for learning languages comes in really handy. Thomas Jane is also in the movie in an undisclosed role.

Predator

English-born Allen has had an eclectic career to date with his reoccurring role in Game of Thrones since 2011, which he looks set to make a return to in the seventh season, to starring in John Wick in 2014 as the rich kid who killed John Wick’s dog which went on to cause a most violent and bloody affair.

With The Nice Guys and Iron Man 3 writer/director, Shane Black only two days revealing a photo of the partial cast of the Predator via social media and the announcement of Allen joining the cast, publicity for this killer reboot is expected to hit the road running in the upcoming months and we can’t wait to see what it has in store.
