Making a name for itself at this year’s Berlinale John Michael McDonagh’s War on Everyone has itself a fine new trailer. It looks like being a violent, sweary, very silly affair.

Alexander Skarsgård and Michael Peña are our bad lieutenants, drug-addled and power crazy, down in New Mexico getting away with murder. McDonagh’s previous films, Calvary and The Guard, are, in critical parlance, absolute belters and make us very excited for everyone to see his latest.

We reviewed the film at Berlin here, so take a look before diving into the NSFW trailer.

Caleb Landry-Jones, David Wilmot and Theo James also star.

In Albuquerque, New Mexico, Terry Monroe (Skarsgård) and Bob Bolaño (Peña) are two corrupt cops who set out to blackmail and frame every criminal unfortunate enough to cross their path. Things take a sinister turn, however, when they try to intimidate someone who is more dangerous than they are. Or is he?

Here’s the new trailer, and an extended clip as well as our interview with McDonagh for his previous film Calvary.
