Little to nothing is known about Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s Han Solo movie, but in a new interview, Alden Ehrenreich has at least weighed in on a couple of its key elements. For starters, the Hail, Caesar! star is clearly excited to work alongside Donald Glover. It was only last month that Lucasfilm announced that he will play a younger version of Lando Calrissian.

“I’m allowed to say that I’m really excited about Donald Glover’s casting,” Ehrenreich said.  “I think he’s going to be great in the role because he’s such a talented and interesting guy. And I can say that Chewbacca’s in the film, although I know that’s not a huge spoiler.”

Chances are the Han Solo movie will delve into their first meeting, but don’t expect Chewie to be all that different to what we’re used to seeing. “He’s as much younger as I am in the film,” he joked. “So, I think he’s like 190 — or something — years old. I don’t think there’s a huge growth spurt for him from 190 to 210, so he’s probably about the same height.”

Chewbacca obviously made a brief appearance in Revenge of the Sith, so it should be interesting to find out how he went from being a major player in the Battle of Kashyyyk to flying alongside Han Solo in the Millennium Falcon. We’ll no doubt find out more about what to expect from this second Anthology movie ahead of its release on May 25th, 2018.
