The latest TV spot for Captain America: The Winter Soldier once again delivers plenty of great new footage from the movie, with the focus mainly on the battle between Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and his former ally Bucky (Sebastian Stan). Also included are new shots of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and the mysterious Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford).
Marvel seem intent on dominating the next few years at the cinema, following an intense few days of promoting James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy and the announcement that they’re on the hunt for a Doctor Strange director. Warner Bros. meanwhile are relying on 2016’s Batman Vs. Superman to deliver the goods.
After the cataclysmic events in New York with The Avengers, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers – aka Captain America – living quietly in Washington, DC, and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague comes under attack, Steve becomes embroiled in a web of intrigue that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow, Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting off professional assassins sent to silence him at every turn. When the full scope of the villainous plot is revealed, Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon. However, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy – the Winter Soldier.
Starring Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Frank Grillo, Felicity Jones, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Emily VanCamp, Samuel L. Jackson, and Robert Redford, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is set to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D in the UK on 26th March and in the US on April 4th.
