Bruce-Willis-and-Jai-Courtney-in-A-Good-Day-to-Die-HardMarking the fifth entry in the franchise, A Good Day to Die Hard finally arrives on the big screen today, bringing with it all the action and explosions you’d expect from Bruce Willis and John McClane.

Willis is of course reprising his role as the iconic character once more, and Fox have debuted two new featurettes for the action blockbuster as it heads into theatres.

“Bruce Willis is back as iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, who for the first time finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack (Jai Courtney) — unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.”

Willis stars opposite Jai Courtney, playing his on-screen son, Jack McClane. The two star alongside Yuliya Snigir, Amaury Nolasco, Cole Hauser, and Sebastian Koch. And joining them is the ever-brilliant Mary Elizabeth Winstead, reprising her role as Willis’ daughter, Lucy McClane, from Live Free or Die Hard (a.k.a. Die Hard 4.0).

John Moore (Max Payne) is behind the camera for A Good Day to Die Hard, with Skip Woods (Hitman) penning the script.

A Good Day to Die Hard is playing in UK and US theatres as of today, 14th February. Its release date has been perfectly timed to catch audiences over the Valentine’s weekend looking for an explosive alternative. And the odds are good that they will head out to the multiplex for A Good Day to Die Hard in droves. Especially with Willis recently confirming Die Hard 6 is likely to be around the corner.
