John McClane’s return to the big screen in A Good Day to Die Hard is just around the corner. The fifth instalment in the immensely successful franchise sees Bruce Willis reprising the cult-favourite character once more, arriving in theatres over the Valentine’s weekend next month.

We got a great new TV spot earlier in the week, filled with plenty of action. And now IGN have debuted the first clip, giving a good idea of the destruction and havoc we can look forward to in a few weeks’ time.

“Bruce Willis is back as iconoclastic, take-no-prisoners cop John McClane, who for the first time finds himself on foreign soil after traveling to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack (Jai Courtney) — unaware that Jack is really a highly-trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist. With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.”

Willis is joined by on-screen son Jai Courtney, playing Jack McClane. The leading duo star alongside Yuliya Snigir, Cole Hauser, and Sebastian Koch, with the ever-brilliant Mary Elizabeth Winstead reprising her role as Willis’ daughter, Lucy McClane, to complete the cast nicely.

John Moore (Max Payne) is behind the camera, directing from a script by Skip Woods (Hitman).

A Good Day to Die Hard will be released on 14th February in the UK and US, with Fox giving a perfect action-fuelled alternative for anyone heading to the cinema over the romantic Valentine’s weekend. Whilst we await its arrival, here’s the first clip, with Bruce Willis doing what he does best. Enjoy.
