A-Glimpse-Inside-the-Mind-of-Charles-Swan-III-PosterRoman Coppola’s A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III has had an early release through VoD last week, and will be getting a limited theatrical release starting from early next month in the US.

Led by Charlie Sheen as the eponymous Charles Swan III, we saw an excellent first trailer back in November, and now a rather brilliant, and very red-band, trailer has debuted online, giving us a great look at the film as it makes its way online, on demand.

“Set in a stylized Los Angeles, A GLIMPSE INSIDE THE MIND OF CHARLES SWAN III is a playful comedy of lost love, friendship, revenge fantasies, and Brandy Alexanders. Charles (Charlie Sheen) is a successful graphic designer whose fame, money and charm have provided him with a seemingly perfect life. When his true love, a perplexing beauty named Ivana, suddenly breaks off their relationship, Charles’ life falls apart, and he swirls into a downward spiral of doubt, confusion and reflection. With the support of his loyal intimates—Kirby (Jason Schwartzman), Saul (Bill Murray), and his sister, Izzy (Patricia Arquette)—he begins the hard road of self-evaluation to come to terms with a life without Ivana.

The film begs the question: Is it possible to love and hate someone at the same time?”

Sheen stars alongside a brilliant cast, headed up by the great Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Aubrey Plaza, Patricia Arquette, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Katheryn Winnick.

Coppola is directing from his own script, and also produces alongside Youree Henley (Somewhere, The Bling Ring).

The writer-director has just picked up an Oscar nomination for Best Original Screenplay alongside Wes Anderson for Moonrise Kingdom, and it will be great fun to see him back behind the camera himself.

A Glimpse Inside the Mind of Charles Swan III is currently available in the US through VoD, and will be released in selected theatres in the States from 8th February. Still no word yet on a UK release date, but I’m hoping that that will change soon, because it looks like this should be a lot of fun. Here’s the latest trailer to prove it.

And one final reminder: This is Very NSFW.
