So it begins. With the faint whiff of the first installment of the Deathly Hallows lingering in the air it’s time to brace ourselves for the end, the final part of the Harry Potter saga, as the eighth film in the series approaches on the horizon.

Warner Bros today asked us to prepare for the final battle in anticipation of the forthcoming film, but also as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 has a 15th of April release date on Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand. The final viewing option is important as On Demand customers will have the bonus of seeing the opening scene of Part 2, something that will do wonders for the medium. Sky Box Office, FilmFlex in Virgin Media’s Movies on Demand and BT Vision will have access to the scene and you can bet that people will snap up the Blu-ray or DVD and still stump up the cash for the On Demand service just to see the scene a few months early. Clever Warner Bros.

Anyhoo – there’s a new image out today as well, found on Snitch Seeker who read far more into it than I could,

The image shows Harry, with Draco Malfoy’s wand in hand, standing on a bridge held up by chains in an open chamber or corridor inside Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from Deathly Hallows: Part II. The room in question looks to be that of the same scene in which Voldemort has Harry tied up and asks why he lives, as featured in the first trailer for the final films.

I would have gone with – Here’s Harry on a bridge.

Here you go Potheads,
