3. Antje Traue
If you had no idea who Antje Traue was before Man of Steel, there’s no need to feel ashamed or embarrassed; that was after all her first BIG movie in Hollywood. It’s also one which showed that the German actress is a force to be reckoned with as not many actresses could so convincingly portray a character so capable of taking on a hero as iconic as Superman! While the Zack Snyder helmed reboot may have helped establish Traue as a force to be reckoned with physically, next year’s Seventh Son will hopefully give her the opportunity to show off some of her other acting abilities too. Despite being strikingly beautiful, it’s also easy to imagine the actress being more than capable of portraying the damaged side of Jessica Jones, something which will be vital should Marvel and Netflix turn to Brian Michael Bendis’ Alias for inspiration. As a part-time superhero, full-time mother, wife and private eye, it’s essential that an actress who can effectively show all of those qualities is found, and Traue might just be her!
